I did a little bit of server maintenance over the weekened and helped my soon to be cousin-in-law Nica setup her own photo blog for school at http://www.fresaphoto.com. It came out pretty adorable. Friday I had an eye appointment and I’m looking at wearing contacts again, and I also attended a concert, the Metric concert to be specific. It was pretty good, lots of exciting moments. I managed to get a couple of shots on my iPhone. You can almost make out Emily Haines in that pictures, she was far more attractive in real life I assure you.
I also finally installed gd library, which I somehow managed to miss the requirement for with wordpress. Most likely because it isn’t specifically a “requirement” but it would have been nice to know that I could install it for better image support in posts. Now my thumbnails will be more thumbnaily and less links-to-the-actual-picture. Mostly, good times.

I had a crazy week last week, despite the fact that I had no work monday. Tuesday / Wednesday in particular was nuts. I managed to stay awake untill three or so and then wake up at 5 so I could go to work early and finish up a project. Which turned out to have some flaws in IE due to the way the html was being served on certain sections of the site. (Basically, ie6 / ie7 has no doctype to tell it what to do.)
Trying to circumvent the issue now, with luck this won’t take too long, and then I can get started on the next project that needs to be completed Monday.

I’ve made and lost three posts, but I was determined and finally managed to get one out today. I have an orchid at work now that’s in full bloom and doing very well. My Spider plant has started to shoot offspring which I’m going to attempt to grow in a cup (not great chances, I let it stay dry too long I think). At home I’m growing teddy bear sunflowers which are growing fast, and Brenda and I just planted, Anemones, giant blue pansies, and a couple of other plants. I’ll keep pictures updates as they make progress!

So I guess the teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed 2 is out (we knew it was coming), I totally can’t even contain my excitement. The screen shot here on the left is what the first page looks like if you flip the image horizontally. I was pretty in love with the first game, and I’ve no doubt that the second will live up to my expectations.
This seems to be even more inspiration from switching my stance from the ps3 to the 360 as my next console, it seems that the 360 gets way better games! (thought i’m sure this will make it to PC too eventually) Really the only thing holding me back is KH3 , if they were to announce a 360 release as well as ps3 then I could just drop the idea of the ps3.
If you print out the pdf linked from the front page right now, and you have a webcam, you can enter the animus and it detects your “key” (first one only, I’m guessing the rest will be unlocked similarly) and the camera traces and super imposes an assassin’s hand, most likely Altair.

I created my first Bento last night for work and I just cracked it open and decided to write a small post and put up a picture. The bento consists a wheat flour turkey roll with cream cheese / spinach and rice with a umeboshi aka in it, and a small side of Hello Pandas and a Reese’s cup for dessert.
I’m in a manly gamer mood again (funny enough mood to be in, considering the bento) and think I will be spending the night with either ep1 of Half Life 2 or Gears of War.

A couple of weeks ago it was my sister’s Wedding, we attended and it was a pretty entertaining affair, but one that I don’t hope to relive again too soon because the weight of a Tuxedo is tiring.
Seasons are changing and Vancouver is slowly thawing (though not fast enough) and my sister Mayra is in town so I’m trying to spend as much time with her as she’ll give me. Today we took a day trip to portland and visited the Japanese gardens, went to Uwajimaya, and topped off the day with Powell’s book store. While we were there we took a detour into the rare books section and came across some pretty impressive volumes. There was a gorgeous collection of the Bronte sister’s books from before the turn of the century that I would love to own and a copy of Mark Twain’s first novel from it’s second printing.

Seriously? They just now realized gamers need their own razors? This is totally my razor of choice now, if only because of how ludicrous the campaign is. I understand that gamers are a fairly wild breed of consumer whore, and that we have a tendency to buy into some pretty weird things, but I’m not sure what would make our razor needs differ from those of other men (and women!).
I went cake tasting last weekend and had a pretty good time. Larson’s cake was delicious, as usual, but I think we’re going with beaverton because the icing is prettier, and sometimes it really is about looks.

I’m kinda proud of my dear jew-boy for making a quasi-blasphemous entry on urban dictionary. It’s been kind of a busy week here, and today has been especially packed, it was nice to get a break for something silly. I hope one day to come up with something that is UD worthy. In the mean time, I’ll keep working and hope that I get things finished on time.

I apparently forgot to re-add my google tracking code and I was distracted before I could finish this layout. I’m going to get to that soon, hopefully little by little over the week, and then the daunting task of coming up with content.
I miss having real traffic. I used to get something like 3k unique visitors monthly, and I haven’t even scraped near that recently.
I’ve been on a Domino kick recently too, just kinda hoping I can get people to play with me XD

I woke up too early today in order to publish some changes on schedule at work. Everything is going smooth so far and it’s been a pretty good morning.
I’m not sure what the attached image will look like from a PC, but from here I have a pretty good mountain view.
Apparently, there was a recent study linking tv to depression. I can’t honostly say that’s all so surprising. Considering the kind of imagery you end up comparing yourself to if you watch a few hours of tv every day.
