Accidental Lies

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

I came to work today at 8am, because there was an email sent out days ago saying that today’s support meeting would be at that time, and they are mandatory. So I wake up at 7:15am so I can leave at 7:30, because otherwise traffic would make me late, and when I arrive at work I find out “Hey meeting’s at 2pm like normal” .

In other news, the iPhone. Really, if it had a keyboard I’d be sold, but without it, it really just seems too “phone” and too proprietary. It’s nice for people who don’t need more than what the device provides, but Safari is lame, the chat client is lame, the mail client is cool for gmail / .mac users (which I am) but sort of sucks otherwise. If it ran some version of Minimo, Firefox, or Opera I probably wouldn’t mind its proprietary nature. As it stands, my current mobile phone device has the same functions, and then some, with a keyboard for easy chatting, at a fraction of the price. I might end up getting the iPhone anyways, depending on how easy / difficult / it is to actually chat with two fingers, but not for a very long time as I’m still hoping apple will offer some kind of keyboarded version.
