Synergy at the Work Place

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

A colleage of mine at work (while fixing my email) told me about this application called synergy, which allows you to span your input devices (mouse, and keyboard) across computers. I’m now utilizing this succesfully to control my laptop at work via my work station’s keyboard. This is nice because I really like my Microsoft semi-ergonomic keyboard. The clip board between both computers is shared as well which makes email easier to work with than it was before too.

Blizzard has released news of their latest expansion and I’m definitely excited. Hero classes sound entertaining. There are several players trying to pass it off as a new and original concept. even though it has already been heavily delved into in Ragnarok Online, FFXI, and eariler than that in Dungeouns & Dragons. I’m sure there are other MMO’s I’ve missed or can’t remember that have done it too.

I have about 20 days to create a program I’ve been meaning to make for this year’s PAX that will let me post live stats on current wireless gaming tournaments, but I’m not even sure I’m in there yet so it may be a wasted effort. I want to be finished with the new layout by then too so I can integrate it into the site.

Bad Medicine

I know many of you will read this and think this is some seriously retarded shit, and you’d be right for the most part, but I recently discovered that I should not be a holy priest in WoW anymore and it’s upsetting me far more than it probably should. I actually started doing worse in the middle of a party because of this.

I may just stop playing for a while, and finish off some other stuff like new paper mario and twilight princess. They Just released paper mario for the virtual console, maybe I’ll pick that up too.
