My Kind, Your Kind

Friday, August 29th, 2008

As of September 6, 2008 I will be in a Design position. I’m pretty excited at the opportunity and think it’ll be a great way to advance my skills. I’ll be in a normal day shift position again, if anyone wants to hang out or something.

I’ve recently fallen in love with the Narnia Chronicles *again* and now I have a hankering to own / read the whole thing. I can’t believe how often I forget that I really like fantasy stories, novels, novelas, what have you. I may decide to go for the whole of H.P. Lovecraft’s works first (noteable the Cthulhu series) which I guess you could call horror / fantasy.

Once you Pop.

I’m very excited about my trial as a designer tommorow, and my slight break into the world of day-shift. I will be here 8:30 to 5, which are people’s optimal hours I hear. I’m pages away from the end of Breaking Dawn (the final book in the twilight series) . I wouldn’t have put the book down if I didn’t have to work. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to finish the book tonight.

Aging Process.

Today was spent for the first part at the mall, and the latter part at Kari’s Birthday party. The event was well coordinated and tropically themed, well suited for the near 100 degree weather we’ve been experiencing as of late.

We watched the olympics for some time, commenting on how well endowed some of the female runners were. Then we split cake and played some Rock Band. It was pretty entertaining and I was able to try the drums for the first time.

All in all a good time. Congratulations on a happy 23rd Kari!

Waiting For Wednesday

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

I’ve pretty much gone my whole day just going through the motions trying my hardest not to actually focus on what I’m doing in hopes that my recently unstable anxiety might stop acting up. It flared pretty badly last night and it had subsided somewhat by morning but not it is flaring up again.

I’m about thirty-three percent away from completing Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight Saga, this is definitely my favorite book so far.

I’m going to go back to worrying about various things that aren’t really immidiate or long term concerns.

Seniors Are

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I’ve been entranced by the twilight saga books and i’m only about halfway into the second novel. It’s entertaining reading about being a senior again this many years after the fact, especially from a girl’s perspective.

It’s such an interesting time frame with alot of growth for everyone involved, I’m glad I don’t have to experience it directly again though. There’s too many ups and downs and everything really does feel like the end of the world since you don’t have the experience yet to know better.

Still … series is excellent so far, though this second book would really be a terrible read without the first one supporting it (unless they were aiming for twelve your old girls or something like that). I’m about 200 pages in and the the most action that has occurred is Bella got into a motorcycle accident that she needed a couple of stitches for.

I went hiking with Brenda on Sunday, I’ll post some pictures of it later. It was a good time all around but too short for her taste.
