Doubtless

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

No Doubt has somewhat recently announced a new full studio album was in the works. The new band image used in promotion is so fricken cool it kills me and I’m just kinda hoping they run with it. That look is so much better for girls though than it is for guys. Probably because the lack of interesting cuts for men’s wear. I would embrace the look anyway.

Drawing Inspiration

Friday, November 21st, 2008

I find myself drawing inspiration for design from so many places recently. One of my more recent inspirations came from Little Big Planet. The art is so elegantly simplistic and colorfull that one can’t help but feel creative just looking at the game.

There’s news of the band Vedera touring again and I’d be so happy to see them add a Portland showing to their tour dates. Right now it seems to be pretty exclusively out on the east coast, but I think if enough Portland / Vancouver residents contact them we might be able to change their minds!

Edge-y Posts

I downloaded the iPhone WordPress app and so far it’s amazingly intuitive. I think the only thing I would add if I were them is the option to insert images from the iPhone.

I’m hoping I’ll find the app appealing enough to inspire frequent use. I do have a good idea for a new layout that I’m hoping to incorporate or at least begin next weekend.

*edit – I found the photo option.this is an image from our ( Brittnee, Brenda, Chase, Kelly, and Matt included ) trip to Chuck e Cheese.*

Sleeveless

Work today was pretty good. I managed to get quite a few pages done, though I have quite a few to go.

I joined my mother for sushi at a sushi bar for her birthday dinner. It was a pleasure and we stopped at starbucks on the way home for a dessert drink. I purchased truffle espresso and a gold pass which I’m hoping will pay itself off before it expires.

I started up my Ragnarok account again since there is an official free server now. I’ve made it to level 7, no job just yet but I think I’m aiming for acolyte. I also played Sonic 2 again and managed to beat the game (though I did not manage to obtain all the emeralds)

Matt's Internet

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

For some strange reason, my Vaoi likes to play this fun game of not being able to connect properly to wireless networks, and it chose tonight not to connect to Matt’s. I’m able to connect in Ubuntu however even though Windows won’t let me, which tells me something about windows here.

I have alot of work to get done right now and I’m determined to meet my dead line and exceed expectations.

In fact, I’m going to get on that now.

Hero-Epic

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I’m reaching the end of the second season of heroes and the series so far is fantastic. There are cliches and old actors at every turn, but the series continues to entertain regardless.

I’m just kinda hoping they don’t try to take it past a fourth season, not because they can’t, but because responsibly that would be the best place I feel to end the series. But then, I’m a firm believer in the 72 episode cap that should be placed on all series (with the exception of game shows ie: Jeapordy)

Drink in this Place

How long has this prince of persia story book, written by penny-arcade, existed without anyone telling me about it? I swear these guys have more side projects than actual comics at this point.

The Prince of Persia series has been a staple of pc gaming for as long as I can remember gaming on the pc, it’s nice that ubi would actually take a little time to make something like this for the fans.

Dia De Los Henson's

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Today is the final day of dia los muertos and I just wanted to make a quick tribute to a renowned global hero, Jim Henson.

He has touched so many of our lives, and helped move our hearts through film and cinema.

We decided to create our shrine for him during a trip to eastland, which was enjoyable, as always. I had the Sesame Chicken with added Cashews which was delicious.
